Thursday already?!?!

Well, props to me for getting AI wrong again. That takes talent, you know!

Our two pictures today are from 1997. The first is from one of my bridal showers. Notice I'm not dressed up (anyone else remember "Scared Guy?"). That's because my SIL got me realllllly good. I thought I was going over there to pick up a paint brush that does trim without marking the walls. I was so naive!! We had already acquired our rental house and we were doing some painting before we moved in so, NO we didn't not live together before we were married!

This second one is from our first Christmas. Notice my short hair. I thought I would like it. I've gone through many hairstyles in my day. I have to say that I like my current hair the best and my "high school" hair 2nd best. This particular cut has not made my top five. While we're on the subject of hair, look at Jon's!

In other news, you guys can pray about our house situation. We are thoughtfully considering our next move (pardon the pun!). We had a call for a showing today that I had to turn down because Ella is sick. With another fever. Again.

Jon came home yesterday between work and baseball and Worship Team practice and delivered me some Chipotle's chips and salsa (if you have not yet tried this culinary delight I suggested you run to your nearest Chipotle's!). I love medium salsa, but their mild is my favorite because it is chunky fresh!!! Anyway, he then ushered me into the upstairs office (dining room) in a way that made me think I had done something wrong. You know, he called me by my name and took me by the waist. I even said, "What did I do?!?" I'm so paranoid! Anyway, he told me to look on the table and said my anniversary gift was there. I couldn't believe it!! Guess what it is?!?!?!

I was up until 1:00 this morning playing with this little bugger. If anyone knows that trick to getting gmail contacts into it, I'd love to hear from you!

Alright, that's it for now. Ella is calling!

Have a great Thursday!

AI and a picture...

Not much time this morning....

AI...I think Syesha will be going home. Have no clue who will be in the bottom two with her...Jason?

Here is another picture. This one was taken right around the time we went to the Bahama's. That was in January of 1996, three months after we had started dating...

For Kathi.....

I don't know, Kath.....I think she resembles me a little. This is her when she was closer to my age in the picture (2 1/2).

I gotta go to bed, my brain is fried and I've got Drama Fest tomorrow. I was at the church for 13 hours today getting ready for it. Yep......

Have a great Tuesday!

Happy Monday!

Well, we had a great weekend! Saturdays weather couldn't have been better for a baseball game. We had to lave early for church, but we still had fun while we were there. Ella is totally on this kick to find (and catch) butterflies. She has caught quite a few, actually!

We went to the local bookstore Saturday and yesterday to participate in the Webkinz Extravaganza weekend. The kids ended up with a few more Webkinz as well as trading cards and bookmarks. Coby actually won a Webkinz yesterday and has decided to give it to a friend who does not have any. How sweet!

The open house went alright. We had a few couples through. We are going to do another one this coming Sunday. Again. Ugh!

I'm helping up at out church today and tomorrow for a Drama Fest we are hosting for the local high school's. I'm excited about that. It should be fun.

So, this Saturday is our wedding anniversary and I thought it would be fun to post some old pictures of us throughout the week. Here are todays photo's:

This is me in first grade!

Here is Jon graduating from preschool! Aww.......!

More to come!! Have a great day!

Please pray...

One of my dear friends has a friend who is in need of prayers for her family. Her fourth and youngest child, Jeremy, has been at John's Hopkins for almost a month fighting for his life. What started as a visit to treat dehydration has turned into a parent's worst nightmare.

Please visit THIS SITE to learn more, see how you can help, and sign the guestbook to help encourage this hurting family.

God is good!

Have a Blessed Weekend!

Wrong......again!!

I've said this before, may be I should give up on the whole "guessing who's going home on AI" thing. Sheech!! At least it wasn't a huge surprise, like David Cook going home.

Anyway, my girlfriend Jen did this on her blog and invited us to do it if we wanted. Because I have nothing else to write about, here it is:

You’re feeling: Sore (the good kind)
To your left: Coby and Ella playing on their computer
On your mind: What I'm doing during the hours of 12:30 and 3:00 today
Last meal included: Quaker Weight-Smart Oatmeal (that was dinner)
You sometimes find it hard to: Deal with Ella's voice all the time
The weather: beautiful and clear
Something you have a collection of: NOTHING!!!
A smell that cheers you up: freshly cut grass
A smell that can ruin your mood: garbage from a nearby dumpster
How long since you last shaved: one day
The current state of your hair: finally getting long!
The largest item on your desk/workspace (not computer): My new handy-dandy printer/scanner/copier thingy.
Your skill with chopsticks: that would be non-existent
Which section you head for first in a bookstore: family, Christian fiction, Webkinz (for the kids, of course!)
Something you’re craving: My favorite sundae from Coldstone
Your general thoughts on the presidential race: I don't have any
How many times have you been hospitalized this year: none
Favorite place to go for a quiet moment: bathroom with the door locked!
You’ve always secretly thought you’d be a good: L&D nurse
Something that freaks you out a little: Centipedes (you know, "thousand leggers") blah!!
Something you’ve eaten too much of lately: caffeine
You have never: gotten a tattoo
You never want to: have to deal with cancer in any other of my family members

American Idol

Well, I have to say I really enjoyed last nights show! Ever since my middle school music director opened my eyes to the works of Andrew Lloyd Webber I have loved listening to them! The first CD set I bought was Phantom of the Opera. Wow!! And because I had no life in middle school I decided to send away for a copy of the script that was advertised on the CD cover and memorize the entire play. I wonder if I could still recite along.....????

Anyway, I digress. I'm not sure if there is going to be a bottom two or bottom three so, here is my prediction (and we all know how accurate I've been so far this season....ha!):

If there are only two, I think Jason and Brooke will be it with Brooke going home. I really did not like Jason's song choice tonight. There are so many other ALW songs that would fit him. Remember how Lord Webber had Carly try her 2nd choice? I wonder what Jason's was.....

If there is a bottom three I'm going to add Carly to the list:

I know Syesha has been in the bottom three before, as has Carly, but I think Syesha did an amazing job last night and will make it in the top three this week. I also think Carly did an amazing job, so it was hard for me to decide between the two.

And Paula is so right.....David Cook can sing anything!!

In other news, we are still looking for a buyer (!) so please pray for that. We are in an interesting situation where we do not have to sell. So, we aren't going to lower the price or advertise desperation or any of that. If it doesn't happen now, then God wants us in this house with Coby and Ella in their school for a reason and we'll embrace that. We are comfortable here and like the house. We really wanted more land for the kids and entertaining. So again, we'll see! I'll keep things updated here because I know some of you are following this process with me and praying for us.

I'm off to the gym this morning, finally. I'm going to be so sore tomorrow but I don't care!!

Random Fact of the Day: The song "Memory" from Cats that Jason sang last night was my first school solo in middle school. I got to sing the first two lines by myself.

House Showings...

So, being a mom of a preschooler means that I am also a mom house-hunting with said preschooler. To make this experience slightly more bearable I have tokened her my official photographer. We are scoping things out before we use weekend time to bring Jon and dig into the little family time we do have. It has become apparent; however, that the priorities Ella finds in a house are much different than mine.

For example, the lighting fixtures:

Shelving:

The toilets:

Random Photography (which we found out were all pictures taken from the flower gardens on the property....):

Random "baby" trees:

If you can believe it (I'm sure you can...), I actually deleted many other Ella viewpoints before I uploaded them onto the computer.

In addition to the property pictures, she also seemed to find delight in snapping some of herself:

Whatever keeps her happy, I suppose.....

It's Friday!!

Thank goodness! What a week! I'm exhausted and this thing I've got (sinus infection?? TBD @ 1:00 today...) is not helping! I woke up this morning with a migraine that toyed with me all night. Ugh!!

The showing yesterday went well. The feedback was positive. Don't think we'll get an offer, though. We're looking at an open house next Sunday (Jen I thought of you...Jon and I are both "on" so my day will likely begin around 5:30 like yours did a few weeks back!) as well as being a part of the agents tour L&F does once a month.

Here are some pics from the zoo field trip on Wednesday:

Anyone else think this:

wasn't as funny last night? It was not up to par.

Alright, off to do laundry! Have a great weekend!!
