Wow, two in one day!

So, Dave Matthews is correct, the song she likes in particular that she was requesting is "Dreamgirl."

I had mentioned a few blogs ago that I was working on a cornhole project. For those who don't have any clue what I'm talking about, take a look here. Most boards are just white, but I can't keep mine that way. Not with having my handy dandy fun toy around. So, here is what it looks like now (almost done!)...the paint is still a little wet in the pics:

I finally got our veggie garden done tonight. I am going in with a neighbor and she was going to get the plants but I hadn't heard from her in a week so I went out today and bought some. She knocked on my door tonight and apologized and let me know that she had more as well. We will be well-stocked when they start budding....hopefully before summer ends! We have six tomato plants, a few cucumbers, a few zucchini, lots of different peppers from mild/sweet to habanero, 10 corn (!), three pumpkin (don't ask), and a goose neck gourd thing that she bought that you can make birdhouses out of.

Ella's Song Choice

So, we've been traveling 25 minutes one way every day for swim lessons (I know, we're crazy!). To have fun on the way, I've been letting the kids (there are four of them because we are carpooling) take turns picking which songs they want me to play from my iphone. This morning, when it was Ella's turn, she said she wanted the song with the "Lady with no clothes and no head doing a plie (read: "plee-ay" a ballet move) ." With the iphone you can see a picture of the album cover while the song is playing. Huh...I have to admit I was stumped for a minute and then realized what she was talking about:

My grandmom has a house down in OC that she is trying to sell, which is why I went down with her two weekends ago. This past weekend I went back down with Jon and the kids. We had so much fun! Here are some pictures from our trip:

I have been too busy here lately, that's why I have not posted more often. Seriously, my schedule is so packed I haven't even had time to breathe. We finally broke down and bought a tiller for a veggie garden (and other garden projects!) and it's tilled, but the only plants in it are two lone pepper plants I bought a few weeks ago and the pumpkin plant Ella gave me. There are so many outside projects I want to get done, but can't. I'm just itching to paint the shed.

There's nothing exciting to talk about, though. Just normal summer over-scheduleness. Blech. I can't wait until vacation!
