No Words...

Our immediate and church family has just experienced a tragic and horrific event this evening. A good friend of ours was driving his six kids home from school and was hit head on by a delivery truck when he crossed the center line. He was killed instantly. We are still not sure why he crossed the line. All six children were taken to the hospital. As of right now, four have been released (one of them is Coby's good friend) and the other two are being held overnight. One of the two (Ella's good friend) has a minor skull fracture with bleeding in the brain but doctors are not too concerned. Their eleven year old son witnessed the entire accident and can recall seeing the truck coming at them. He saw his father die. Then he turned to the other children and made sure they were all okay. He is a hero in my eyes.

No words can express how I'm feeling right now. I can only imagine what is going through my girlfriends' head as she suffers the lose of her beloved husband.

Please pray for this family as they move forward in what will be the most painful time of their lives.

Such a light-weight....

We have a jucuzzi tub in our bathroom and occationally Jon and I like to partake in it together. We love to just sit for an hour or so with the four windows around it open and pretend we are outside in a hottub (lol). Anyway, I decided the other night that I would also enjoy a Corona while we talked. It took everything to not fall asleep! One beer! Jon had to help me up out of the tub....

Then, when I woke up yesterday with that migraine I took some Exedrin to knock it out. I also had a cup of hot tea. I was so shaky from that little bit of caffeine from the medicine and tea that I could barely think straight! When I go to DD or SB and get a coffee, I have to get a small or I can't function. Most people love caffeine to help them get things done. Me? All I can think about is how much I can eat to get the shakes to go away. Why is it that most weight-loss pills have caffeine in them? Something to ponder.

My plan today is to, at some point, finish watching the girls from AI last night. Then I think it would be fun to post who I think will get booted. Anyone else want to participate? I'd be fun to see if we can guess who will continue on!

Random Fact of the Day: I landed 2nd place in a scholastic competition in high school for a chance to win a trip to Germany to be an exchange student for a year. The process involved many essay's, testing, and interviews. I often wonder how different my life would be had I been given that trip. But I know God chose my path for me, and I wouldn't change my life for anything!

Funny conversation...

We were in the car the other day on our way home from Stacey's (she's younger by three years, BTW) house and Ella had an interesting thought:

E: "Mom, who was your mommy when you were growing up?"
M: "Nana, silly! She's my mom! You know that!"
E: "But she's your mom now...who was your mom when you were little?"
M: "She was. She will always be my mom, just like I'll always be your mom!"
E: "So, Nana had you in her belly?"
M: "Yep."
E: "How did you fit? You're big!"
M: Chuckling... "I was a baby when I was in her belly, like you were when you were in mine."
E: "So, I won't get another mom when I get bigger?"
M: "Nope. You're stuck with me."
E: (After some pondering...)"Well, whadaya know?"

She talks so much these days. Just ask Danielle. She'll tell you! In fact, Jon is convinced her tooth fell out so early because they vibrate so much from her talking all the time.

I woke up this morning with a migraine, so I won't be going to the gym this morning. That bums me out, the class this morning is my favorite. At least I got there yesterday, even if it doesn't fully count. I subbed for a one-hour step/toning class and I don't get as good of a workout when I teach. I had fun, though. I hope the headache goes away soon. I need to get to the grocery store and I have Worship Team practice tonight. We're doing a Tom Petty song for the special this weekend!! Fun!

Alright, Ella is bugging me to play Webkinz, so I'm off!

Random Fact of the Day: I gained 75 pounds when I was pregnant with Coby and only 28 with Ella. I swear the difference was the season they were born......and not the McDonald's breakfasts I ate while pregnant with Coby....

Who is older?

Stacey and I always get conflicting answers when we ask people which one of us is older. So, if you do not know this answer (don't spoil it if you do!!), who is it?

And, while we're at it, do we even look like sisters to you? We're curious to hear your answers! Don't be shy!!!

I used my new scanner to get this picture in! I LOVE this thing!!

Random Fact of the Day: I found out I was pregnant with Coby when I was 10 weeks along.....at my yearly appointment! What a surprise!
