Saltine Toffee Bars

Cast of Characters:

1 Stack (not box!) Saltines
2 Sticks of Butter
1C Sugar
1 1/2C
Chocolate Chips

Line the saltine crackers in a jelly roll pan lined with foil. For my pan I had to open a second bag of crackers and use some. Just keep using them until you get a single layer that covers the bottom!

Melt the butter and add sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Pour over crackers.

Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

As soon as you take it out of the over pour the chocolate chips over (I used a mixture of regular and mini - that's what I had in the pantry!).

After the chips have melted, spread evenly over crackers.

Let it cool completely. Break or cut into pieces:

YUM!!

Oh my, how I love these. The perfect sweet and salty combo. Thanks for posting the recipe - I've always had them at parties and never made them myself. Hopefully I will be able to show some restraint and not make them every single day now!!

I LOVE these! I never make them because I will eat the entire pan by myself!
