The Many Cakes Of Coby

Coby's party is tonight. I can't believe it! He's very excited to have his four closest friends over for swimming and endless competitions with Rock Band. I'm very excited to see him grow and mature and have these particular four friends with him!

Coby is not a picky eater. Like, at all. He'll eat anything and everything you put in front of him. And then some, although you wouldn't know it by looking at him! However; he is quite the picky one when it comes to birthday cakes. As in, he doesn't like cake. Or cookies. Or anything like that. So, every year it has been a struggle to figure out what to do for his birthday. We'll start with his three year birthday. Although I do not have a picture scanned in I'll tell you that I made a cherry pie for his "cake" that year. Yep. A cherry pie for my non-picky three year old.

Age four? Well, a hot-milk sponge cake, of course!

Five? A masterpiece in the form of a rice krispie tower!

Six? A very mature strawberry shortcake!

And seven? A good old-fashioned ice cream cake!

What's left, you ask? For tonight I have made him a different ice cream cake. I used Crushed Oreo's, Whipped Cream and Ice Cream Sandwiches. We'll see if he likes that....

I hope I get some sleep tonight......!!!

That's funny, Ben doesn't like chocolate chip cookies and lots of stuff like that either, how weird! Tell Coby we said Happy Birthday!!!

We've had several pumpkin pies as birthday cakes! We aren't big cake people either. Happy Birthday Coby!
